Agroforestry –AF–: Demo plots are performed showing the approach to sustainable, commercial farming with polyculture systems and water management practices. These demos are performed on three farms with saline water and soil.
Cover Crops: The demonstrations are intended to demonstrate the numerous benefits of cover crops in arid and saline conditions as an instrument that farmers can utilize in their local environment.
Salt tolerant vegetables: demos are underway with several common vegetable varieties, notably red beat, cauliflower, and cabbage on saline water and soil.
Salt tolerant potato: a selection of potato varieties are tested that are more successful under saline conditions.
Water management: a variety of water-saving practices are performed, including the design of more efficient irrigation schemes based on field observations and soil moisture monitoring, and water harvesting measures that save water
